MEAU Yin Tai, ANDY

Andy has over 10 years of clinical experience in both the USA and Hong Kong. His specialty is on myopia control in children using both Orthokeratology and soft contact lenses. He obtained his Certificate of Attainment in Orthokeratology in May 2006 from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also a Visiting Clinical Associate at the School of Optometry at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has previously served as a Council member of the Hong Kong Association of Private Practicing Optometrists (HKAPPO) for four years and is currently a full member of the Hong Kong Society of Professional Optometrists (HKSPO) and a Fellow member of the Hong Kong Academy of Orthokeratology (HKAOK).

 

In Hong Kong, Andy is a registered Part I Optometrist, which allows him to use diagnostic drugs and perform dilated pupil eye examinations. Besides being able to diagnose eye diseases, dilated pupil eye examinations allow the visualization of blood vessels in the retina which aids the management and monitoring of vascular diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and hypocholesteremia.

KWAN, Wai Ping Tina

Tina Kwan graduated from the School of Optometry at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia with a Bachelor of Optometry degree. She has been in private practice for over 20 years.

 

In the past 20 years, Tina has been involved extensively in the teaching of clinical optometry at the Hong Kong Polytechnic then, now the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.  She also involved in the promotion of optometry and the standard of optometrists in Hong Kong through her works with professional societies.  To serve the community, she is a member of Zonta Club of the New Territories, Zonta International since 1991 and the President for the biennium 08-10.
